Wedding date: September 6 and October 11, 2008

Wedding theme: Shades of red
Her best moment: “During both weddings my view of Sathish was blocked by crowds of people and cameras flashing as I walked down the aisle. I was so anxious to see Sathish, and I was so happy when I saw him smiling with such soft eyes.”
His best moment: Watching Christine walk down the aisle.
Advice you would give to other couples that are getting married: Be happy and be calm. Remember that this is about your love for each other and the promises of your future. Have fun and enjoy your wedding as though you’re a guest at your own event.
Wedding song: "Cherish the Day" by Sade. “We both love Sade and enjoyed listening to this song together. When we had to choose our wedding song, it was perfect.”

The day in three words: Overjoyed. Surreal. Unforgettable.
Her most unexpected moment: “We were having our pictures taken at the Old Port on an exceptionally beautiful, warm and sunny day (considering we live in Montreal!). The hosts of my husband’s restaurant spotted us and gathered the rest of the staff to congratulate us by banging on pots and pans, singing and greeting us with good wishes.”Best surprise of the day: “Some of the bridesmaids, our sisters included, performed classical Sri Lankan and Filipino folk dances, and our groomsmen entertained us all with an impromptu performance to ‘Sugar Pie Honey Bunch,’” says Sathish. “We were enjoying all the shows and then my wife surprised me when she performed a Hawaiian dance. I loved that she planned that without me knowing.”
Honeymoon: Island-hopping in Hawaii.
Favourite wedding detail: “Since we love wine, our wedding favours were wine stoppers with a heart on top, which matched our wedding invitations and seating cards. Our guests were served Jackson-Triggs Red Wine, sentimental because of our first weekend getaway together when we visited the winery at Niagara Falls.”
What made her day: “The two of us were dancing and singing together on a platform as though it was our concert, looking over all our guests while they were enjoying themselves on the dance floor. Just seeing everyone we love all together in one room warmed our hearts, and it will never be forgotten.”
What made his day: “I was talking with a couple of buddies when I heard the song ‘Forever on the Dance Floor’ and had to find my wife. We danced together, and it felt as though no one was around, even though everyone had gathered around us.”
