Boom!
Just got certified as an OR nurse!
I was hired at the Operating Room department in January and
part of my orientation includes a mandatory exam
to be done within 6 months with the Association of Perioperative Registered
Nurses. I had been studying every day for 4 months - reading, writing summaries
(by hand!) and doing tests and quizzes.
It took me 3 hours to do the exam this afternoon because I read each
line with caution and took my time answering....and took a deep breath after my
final answer. Well, hard work certainly
does pay off....because finishing another exam's a huge weight lifted off my
shoulders. Knowing that I passed the
exam, seconds after I submitted it, gave me an enormous feeling of relief
because I could now concentrate on "life" again :)
Life feels great.
